Im hoping iina gets M1 support soon.
Me neither but there has been nothing on GitHub regarding M1 beyond an open issue (#3218) since November - no activity, milestone or anything. Looks like IINA may be on its way out.

Thank-you.The article is not accurate. Correct link: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html You can download either Intel or Apple silicon versions directly from the drop-down menu.
I agree. I wish they would release the Silicon version. I haven’t noticed any slowdown with the Intel version, which is good.Really a fan of https://iina.io
it's really lightweight and feels a lot less sluggish than VLC. Maybe because it's new code written in Swift.
You didn't go with at least 512 SSD? Gotta think about future proofing your purchases.Thank-you.
I think I prefer a smaller AS binary over a Universal App given the space constraints on my Mac mini SSD.

Wonder how many apps were optimized for M1 til now? Any lists made in the MRforum?
I agree, it looks so dated... but they are still among the best in formats and codecs support, not to mention availability in pretty much all platforms.I'm not a fan of VLC's UI...

Future proofing is a myth, peddled by the ill-informed. Spending Apple-money for Mac mini storage would be bonkers. You didn't go with at least 512 SSD? Gotta think about future proofing your purchases.
