I just ripped a DVD to my computer using Mac the Ripper. It created two folders for the movie "Audio_TS" and "Video_TS." The audio ts folder was empty. I then took the four VOB files in the video ts folder and converted them to AVI DIVx files using ffmpegx. After doing this the files play fine in VLC. I then fused them using Split/Fuse. The final video clip after fusing is a .mov but when i play it in quicktime there is no picture, just sound. And when i play it in VLC there is picture but no sound. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem? Thanks!!!

I have never had any luck ffmpeg, I always use Handbrake to rip the DVDs (no need to use mac the ripper) to mp4. Handbrake is the best program out there for this kind of stuff and it flies on Mactels!! :D

Have you downloaded and installed the divx software from their website? That could be why the video isn't playing in QT Player.

The above advice is correct, Handbrake will do the job better and easier.
