Hey people, I am looking at getting a new rMB soon and was wondering what peoples experiences were running both Windows and various linux distros through a VM. I have fusion 8 atm but parallels/virtualBox experiences are welcome too.

I run Windows Server 2003, Oracle (database), SQL Server, Tomcat and a few other things on a VirtualBox VM - it runs a bit slowly at times - mostly when Windows is installing a heap of updates, but it's usable.

I have the 1.3 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Retina Macbook and I'm currently running Windows 10 via Parallels 11. When I originally got the machine I was running Windows 8.1 via Parallels 10. I upgraded the 8.1 VM to 10 a few weeks after 10 came out. I just upgraded from Parallels 10 to 11 a week or two ago. Everything has worked well for me so far. The battery life isn't great and I have yet to notice a difference in performance or battery life since switching from Parallels 10 to 11.
