VM vs. Bootcamp Gaming

Hi All,

As the title suggests, i'm looking for some advice on whether to run my W7 Ultimate through Bootcamp or Parrallels to do some gaming.

The games i will be playing are Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth 2, Star Wars Empire At War and Star Wars: KOTOR. I'm not too fussed about having to reboot and boot to W7 but obviously if parallels or vm-fusion can do it fine that would be awesome and a hell of a lot easier, has anyone tried this?

Running on a MBP 13" 2011 i7, i know a 15" has a better GPU but picked the 13" for other reasons, i'm happy to upgrade to 8gb of RAM if tha's gonna make any sort of a difference? Thanks 🙂

there is no comparison, bootcamp will outperform in every single aspect.

I wouldn't even think to attempt it. Bootcamp all the way for gaming.

Agreed with previous posters... dedicate max resources for your gaming using BC.

As long as you're not trying to play KOTOR on the Mac. That port is optimized so horribly I can't believe it even made it to market.

Read the reviews on the app store of this and it didn't seem so popular! 😀

Windows also has KOTOR 2!
