VMware Fusion and MacFUSE/NTFS-3g Compatibility

Has anyone experienced problems when using MacFUSE with the NTFS-3g plugin to mount internal NTFS partitions as read/write at the same time as using VMware Fusion on a Boot Camp partition? It seems to me that VMware doesn't unmount the NTFS partition on the host OS side like it normally does which seems like it would cause all kinds of conflicts. Anyone using it successfully?

I do have this problem too. Sometimes when I want to make VMware mount a disk, it spins down & up and down again and gives an error that the host has the disk in use.
