    Has anyone tried it?
I only have 85GB of space left on my SSD and want to install Win7 over VMware Fusion to Optibay 1TB.

Does anyone know a way to set VMware to use the secondary drive as storage?

    Thanks.

When you create a VM, you get asked where to store it, thus you get the option to manually select the external HDD for storing the VM.
Or if you have already created the VM, you could move the VM via Finder.

Just move/create the VM file there, unless I'm missing something.

    Thanks for the reply.

Do you know the way to transfer Bootcamp data over to the optibay Fusion?
Such as game data, programs, etc?
