I just wanted to start Fusion on my LION-iMac and it offer me an upgrade to 3.1.3.
After download it try to install but then makes a kernel panic.

Anybody else with same experience or even better: successful updated ?

I'm not sure what edition I'm running at the minute on lion as I'm not at my laptop but it's running perfectly
 
Try downloading it using your browser and install that way.

Thanks for the hint. But leads to the same issue.

I also read a bit on VMWare forum and now try to uninstall Fusion; even then I get a panic and need to power cycle my iMac. I hate power cycle !!!!

Doesn't looks good ... I thing that the kernel extension might be part of the problem. Will do some more power cycle ...



UPDATE: the uninstaller via Finder also didn't worked but a manual way described on VMWare support pages did the magic.
After that I reinstalled Fusion from the begin; good to had the serial number handy ...

So I think case is closed; it finally run under LION for what I can see.
