VMWare Fusion RAM Allocation

I'm running a new MBP w/ 2.9 GHz i7 and 8GB RAM. Run VMWare Fusion, and I'm wondering what the best allocation would be.

Fusion defaults to 2048 MB and 1 processor, but I can increase both. Will be running Excel pretty heavily with files up to 150MB.

Any thoughts on how best to allocate?

I think I have mine set to 3GB or so and 2 processor cores, running Windows 8.1 in VMWare Fusion 5.

My settings are two cores and 4 GB RAM out of 8. No issues so far.
