Vmware fusion with oem

OK, I just found out I cannot run bootcamp with OEM windows XP software. It would not complete the install. I was stuck between page 9 and 10 of instructions as I saw someone else here was. I called Help and was told OEM was the problem. Has anyone used fusion with an OEM Windows XP?
 
If by OEM you mean the disks that come with a computer like a Dell, you're out of luck.

True OEM disks bought from a reputable dealer should be fine.
