VMware Fusion & XP-Pro Dell Version

I have a brand new "Dell" XP Pro version of Windows that has never
been opened and serial never used...Dell had sent me a new sealed disk about two years ago when I complained of a missing program that was not in the packaging.....(Go figure !!), so they sent another copy of Win XP Pro instead....Anyway can I install that on my MacBook Pro with VMware Fusion..??

If it's a standard Windows XP disk, it will install.

If it's a restore CD tailored to Dell hardware, it will not install.

Thanks for the reply, Ill give it a shot...It says "Distributed with a new Dell PC only"...but its Microsoft packaging....Thanks again
