I'm installing windows via fusion, as I was going through the installation process i bypassed using bootcamp. It defaults to a 40GB partition and gave me no option to change it. I don't want this much space, is there a way to reduce it after it is installed?

If you used the default setup, the space set aside will be expanding, ie it'll use only the disk space needed. So even if you set aside 40GB, the VM will actually use much less, only increasing as you add to the files in the VM. Check the sized of the vmdk files in the folder holding the VM (under Documents/Virtual Images)

Yeah that's one of the coolest features of using a VM, it doesn't actually use up the space of the virtual partition until you have utilized it. Basically it's just like a sparse image, or whatever it's called. :p
