Thank heavens I'd backed up my Leopard and Snow Leopard VMs. I updated and of course was told they were not allowed to be used and Fusion quit them. So I reverted to the VM back ups.

Given I still have the updated Fusion and the back ups work it must be the updated VMTools that destroy the VMs. This is good as I want to be able to keep updated for other VMs such as Windows 7.

Just don't update tools in the Leo family.

4.1 .dmg

Anyone still have the DMG? I've been disconnected for the weekend, and am only presented with the option to download the 4.1.1 patch instead. Send me a PM please?

Can someone with the above file do me a favor?

What is the MD5 checksum for the file?

I was able to download a file named vmware-fusion-4.1.0-529802-light.dmg. The download included some other files I don't want or need since I just bought the latest VMware Fusion. But I'd like to make sure the main .dmg is clean.

I learned that you can easily run an MD5 using Terminal. Just type "md5 filename". For the filename you can simply drag in the file from the Finder.

Thanks in advance!

As long as you have paid for the serial i see no problem with using a torrent "sharing" site to download 4.1 :) thats maybe what i did :p
