Having issues with the Vo2 max, It has not recorded since October and even at that it was wrong, giving me 30 when it reality its around 52, I know this as I use Fitbit and Garmin products also, I want to use Apple but its just not reliable,

So far I have unpaired and reset, recalibrated fitness data, and nothing. I reset all last night again just to check. Went for a 10k walk at a steady pace which took about 90 mins and nothing.

Any ideas?

In my case, it showed lower VO2 Max readings and then stopped for months, too. A few days ago, it started to work again for no apparent reason but shows very low readings without any change in my exercise routine. For this reason, I have pretty much given up on it for now.

I've found VO2 Max to be very accurate and right in line with the readings I get from the Fitbit Charge 4 I wear on my other wrist.

I started doing daily 5 mile runs in February, 2020 and have been on a fairly steady incline since.

I switched from a Series 4 to a Series 6 in late December.

Are you showing a persistent heart rate in your workouts in the Activity app? This is essential. I was having problems with occasional intermittent dropped heart rate readings on my Series 4.

I switched to a sports loop band and wore it a little higher up on the wrist and have had solid HR readings ever since.

I'm still using an AW4 and the heart rate sensor works intermittently. Your suggestion regarding a different band might have something to do with it. While running, the heart rate measuring works well, but when doing HIIT, it is all over the place.

I wonder if that is what my issue is. I haven’t had any readings since Oct. 26, 2020, on my S4.

To get a reading for VO2 Max on my watch, I have to start an outdoor walk or outdoor run and do at least 20 minutes of walking/running (the workout can’t end for 20 minutes straight) to get a reading.

I just noticed my VO2 max data stopped recording on December 14, 2020. What's going on?
