.VOB files on a mac

Hi people. I hope you can help me with this problem. I've got some video footage on a DVD but the files are in .VOB format. I can watch it from the DVD or use the VLC app to watch the individual files. I want to be able to put the footage into imovie ('08) or even iDVD. Does anyone know how I can convert these files into something I can work with?

I think Handbrake will do the job.

ffmpegX or MPEG Streamclip will do what you want (I think you need the MPEG-2 Quicktime addon from Apple for MPEG Streamclip to work though).
