.VOB files

I am using DVD decryptor to get some of my DVDs on my hard drive, (windows.) I am getting an iBook soon and wanted to know, do .VOB files work on Macs and if not, is there a way to convert them?

.VOBs are DVD files. Tbh, that's kinda like saying "will my speakers still work"

OpenShiiva will convert .vob to mpeg4 to play on QuickTime http://openshiiva.sourceforge.net/
MPEGStreamClip is good http://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html
If you're looking to play from VIDEO_TS file (contain .vob after rip), a good player is VLC Media Player http://www.videolan.org/

Thanks for that. When I decrypt the DVD, I am left with 5 sections of the main film. Is there a way to merge .VOB files?

Yes there is a way to merge VOB files...

I downloaded the D-Vision software but it is a .dmg file which my (windows) computer doesn't seem to want to run. Is it a mac only file, or is there a program to run it with?

Whoops, I missed the fact that you aren't on a Mac yet...

I just searched for a Windows VOB joiner and have found one, but I can't vouch for it because I have never tried it. Hope that works for you.

First: I know this is an old thread lol


However, maybe im stupid but how do i join multiple video ts folders into 1 with this program? I see the option for vob but my video ts folders dont want to cooperate

I have a dvd thats 2 discs. I want to combine it into one file so i can play it straight through on my mac
