Hi,

I have pwnd a first gen US iphone sucessfully and I get Voice calls fine with my Vodafone network SIM.

I do have an issue with data though - I get "Could not activate cellular data network: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service".

I have contacted Vodafone and they say everything is fine with my unlimited data plan their end. They think it may be an issue with the Phone. I told them it was an HTC I was using ;). But they think it should work.

On the iphone I have gone through:

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.

and restarted by that has not fixed it.

Any ideas???? Sooo close.

Thanks for the response.

APN is something I haven't put in as yet. I did see the config but it does not ring any bells for me.

Any ideas on what to put in?

Ta.

At the iPhone hacks section.
You have to put in vodafones APN settings

- other settings can be left blank.

Vodafone UK pay-as-you-go customer:
Name: Vodafone GPRS
GPRS APN address: pp.vodafone.co.uk
Username: wap
Password: wap

- other settings can be left blank.

Vodafone GPRS settings (Email/Web):

Homepage: http://live.vodafone.com
Access Point (Contract): internet
Access Point (PAYG): pp.vodafone.co.uk
Username* : web
Password*: web
Session type: Continuous / permanent

Try some of these and see if they work.
