Vodafone UK Sim Only on iPhone 3G

Hey,

I'm currently with O2 Pay and Go, on their Text and Web package that gives me unlimited web and text for £15 a month.

However, I'm thinking of leaving O2 due to their rubbish 3G coverage, as well as their ****** customer support - someone stole my debit card details to top up their phone and O2 are refusing to give me any information required by my bank to investigate.

Anyway, I was thinking of going on Vodafones Sim Only package, which offers 600 mins, unlimited text, and 500mb of web all for £20 a month. Not the best deal but will do.

Does anyone have any experience with Vodafone Sim Only on their iPhone, and if their are any missing features. I already miss out on visual voicemail, and internet tethering anyway as I'm on PayG.

Yes i have that exact plan plus for £2 I added 50 MMS. It works great and the support is brilliant.

I was always with VF, and switched to get the iPhone, but had nothing but problems with coverage, so O2 cancelled the contract after 6 months, and I've been running with a VF Sim and piggy back card since then.

Its great to be unlocked as i have been able to update OS and throw away piggy back.

Can I ask why you feel that the package is not the best ?

I'm also on the same VF 30 day contract - coverage much better and with the unlocked iPhone, makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for your views guys. Are their any network issues with VF, especially with talktime on 3G network? I know with O2, I am constantly getting dropped calls with 3G enabled. When it's disabled, I get absolutely no drop calls whatsoever.

Just wondering if this may be a issue with the phone, or the network. 3G with O2 web browsing frequently gets the 'Cannot connect to server' as well. I've reset network settings etc. in the past. Most likely an issue with O2 though.

As for not being the best package, I know O2 do a similar £20 package, but they let you pick the bolt on, but at the end of the day, I'm moving due to the poor reception, so taking a Simplicity with them is a no-go.
