Hi there,

I have a considerably long essay to type, and am using Microsoft Word. I've tried using the voice recognition function, but with no success. Firstly, How do I set it up and secondly could you please tell me how to use it.
And wheteher it is worth my time

I'm assuming you want "Voice Recognition" to type what you say? I believe the current version of this for Mac OS X isn't capable of this yet. It's just capable of running certain scripts and menu's, etc.
 
Yeah, Mac OS X doesn't have built-in speech-to-text capability. The built-in voice recognition only works for issuing commands. To get speech-to-text, you need to get a third party application.
