Hello,

I have noticed recently that I have a voicemail dot but when I check I have no voicemails. My wife's phone is also doing this.

We are both on IOS 10.2

Can anybody help and tell us how to fix this problem.

Many thanks

My phone did the same thing after 10.2. I went to Phone --> Voicemail tab and it had 2 voicemails from 2014.... I clicked on them and notification went away. Probably won't help you but just letting you know I had a similar thing happen.

Agreed. But it's weird how the little things clear the Most annoying notifications.

After reading this thread I have a contribution but not a complete solution. My wife uses an IPhone 3 and has the same problem. I can turn the red dot on and off at will by turning on cellular data. When on the dot is gone and when off the dot appears. My vote is it has to do with visual voicemail.

This has happened to me. Two weeks ago, I was on a flight, placed my phone on airplane mode, and once I arrived at my destination, I turned data ON, and 27 voicemail messages appeared from two months ago. I don't know why, but one of them was from work and it required urgent attention.
