I successfully sync'd a file I recorded but it is in .caf format.

I need to email it to my professor, but I doubt he would know what to do with that file so I would like to convert it to a .wav.

Does anyone know of anything free and relatively easy to do this with on a windows XP machine?

Thank you!

I use VoiceNotes also, and I'd never heard of this format before. I looked it up. It's "Core Audio Format", which is a proprietary Apple format. In Windows, Quicktime will play it. To convert it to MP3 or WAV, you can use Audacity, which is a free, open-source sound editing program.

Nope. Audacity also does NOT recognize the .caf file.

It works for me. I'm using Audacity 1.2.6. Do you have the latest version?

My bad. I downloaded AVS Audio Editor from the same web page. That's one nasty webpage. I just downloaded 1.2.6 after noticing the green arrow. I used Firefox with scriptblocker before so that may have prevented me from clicking on the Audacity download link.
