Nice for you. I can also report on our daughters 2 VWs: both lemons, 1 she’s still paying for. Will never buy another VW.

You do realize how many cars the VW brand sells right? They have been on top of the automotive world for years now.

Just like iPhones, TVs and higher end cars alike not every one will be made perfect.

If they are actually lemons, there is no reason she should still be paying for one of them.
She traded the first, a convertible Beetle, in for a slightly newer Jetta when the dealer couldn't get it fixed. I think they had it for two weeks but couldn't get it running right. The Jetta ran fine for about six months before going south. I don't know what's wrong with it and why a shop couldn't get it running well again. I'm getting my info filtered through my wife.

I once had a patient whose husband owned a shop that specialized in VW repair. We took our Passat to him because the dealer was unable to locate the source of a gas leak we could smell on occasion. (I couldn't then and still can't imagine how the dealer couldn't find the source of a gas leak.) He told us Passats were good cars until they hit about 90,000 miles, when they started falling apart. His words, not mine. I think it was a 1999 model. (This was a few years ago). We traded it back to the Acura dealer we bought it from and got a TSX; great car.

Awh, just as my Golf R has to go back.

But apparently it’s a subscription, which is ridiculous when you’re already paying for the car.

Car manufacturers seem to think people are made of money. Do you have to pay a subscription for the network capability of your Tesla? Nope. Man I want one.
