Volume control problems MacBookm SR

The volume keys on my MacBook 2.2 SR don't work most of the time they haver just stopped working for some reason :S noe and again they work but most of the time the click just stays at the same volume till the on screen thing shoews its mutted them the clicks stop but the volume doesnt change on the computer has anyone else had this problem?

I have never had this problem. Have you changed anything on your computer recently? Like software or any new hardware.

Maybe try resetting the PRAM.
