Volume indicator in iOS 10

    Forgive me if this has already been mentioned previously but I just noticed the yellow and red volume indicator. Is this new?

    Never seen that before like the previous poster said restart the device and see if it's still there.

    It's been like that since iOS 9. It's really just an indicator for high/very high volume. Some people...

    I believe it's only present on devices sold in Europe.

    That makes sense. I bought the new iPhone in Amsterdam a few days ago but live in Australia.

    There's a setting: Settings>Music>Volume Limit>EU Volume Limit which may affect it.

    Yep I've had that for the last few years and live in the UK
