Volume Key on New Mac Keyboards...?!

Does anyone know how to use the
Volume Keys on the new Mac Keyboards ?

They are at F11 and F12 keys,

but they are not working, i can only get
Dashboard and Desktop to work.....not volume!

Works fine on my MacBook. Did you update the firmware for the aluminum keyboard? Check to see....

Open System Preferences and click on software updates. Then click on the tab that says installed updates. You should have a firmware update 1.0 installed.

System Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse

Uncheck "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" so that the special features on the keys are always on

I'd say the poster above has the winner, but you should also CHECK and then UNCHECK the option in sys preferences --> keyboard for "use all F1, F2, etc as standard function keys"

Are you also using S/PDIF (Digital out)?
