How do I raise the volume on CarPlay? It was working fine but all of a sudden the volume went down and I can bear hear the directions.

In some cars, the car’s volume setting is independent for directions and everything else. The key is to adjust the car volume WHILE a direction is being spoken.
You can crank it to high-heaven when directions aren’t being spoken, and it won’t help at all.
There’s probably some setting to adjust direction volume without doing that, but since I figured this out - I quit looking for it 😉
