Hi, Just wondered if anyone had any ideas about my issue. I currently use a G5 which is linked to a network via the internet. It gives me access to our NASBOX, the printing archive on our RIP PC and a folder on another PC. These 3 folders are permanently on my desktop and if you 'get info' on them, the file type says it's a 'volume'. Unfortunately all of this was setup for me about 2-3years ago so i have no idea how it was done.

I have now been asked to swap my G5 for a higher spec intel G5 and am trying to sort out the network side of things on it so that I have the same access to files. I managed to connect permanently by pressing apple> K. I could then choose the folders I wanted to access and I entered the NASBOX password so I was permanently connected.

The problem is that I would like to have a short-cut to these files on my new G5 desktop (usually the icon is a network symbol) permanently instead of having to go into the finder and connecting that way.

Does anyone get what I'm talking about? Thank you!
