Also, entering your vonage account number pulls up your full name - only way that can happed is to have direct access to Vonage's accounting system.

Or a stolen one.. just to defeat the use of "only". But yes it does seem legit, despite the strange use of another site.

The use of a second site is normal - the IPO is not controlled by Vonage and it can not be managed with there normal day-to-day business. This is the same basic thing that RedHat did with there IPO

Got a response...its legit...They even included my name ;)

Beyond that.. the IP for the website isn't owned by Vonage, it's owned by "Savvis" from Cary, NC. It's just a webhosting place.
Savvis is a pretty big NASDAQ listed corporate web services provider and owns one of the largest tier 1 backbones of the Internet. It's not "just" a webhosting place ;)

Good for Savvis!! :) It's still just a webhosting place.

I'm in for 500 shares. I'm kind of scared to loost $8000~$9000, but I missed out on RedHat and Google. Boy I hope this goes well.

Has anyone else submitted a conditional offer?

I was considering it, but am concerned about the long (and even) short term projections of Vonage's profitability. My take is the only way to make money on it is by selling on IPO morning, or waiting for them to be gobbled up by some big telecom...

Even still, I may try it out with a couple thousand...
