you're trying to figure out a way in which you can vote for me, aren't you? so sweet of you.
Back off! She's trying to see if she can nominate me! Hair advice. Mm. :p

Thanks for nominating me people, but arn has probably been the most helpful member here. :)

*Wonders why nose is turning browner and browner...

*Wonders why MJ's nose is turning smellier and smellier...*

Suck up!

But I really don't want to vote for anyone. Every single person who genuinely tries to help is helpful to many people, and rarely do they come back and thank that person. Sometimes they don't even respond to give a quick "thanks."

hahaha. I find Wintermute to be really helpful and wanted to mention him because nobody has yet. But honestly, there are way too many very helpful people here to pick just one.

Not sure who to nominate, there are a lot of really good, helpful people on this board. :) But if I was forced to pick just one, I would have to say mad jew. You can stop threatening to beat me up now mj, I did as I was told. :)

Voting for Mad Jew is so last year.
Whereas invisi-type is timeless...
I hear he slaps babies when their mothers aren't looking.

Shard - Helpful in life and other stuff.

nagromme - wise comes to mind.

and the obligatory mad jew. The scamp.

I vote for Abstract, because he has a wonderful sense of humor so he helps me smile :).

Thanks a lot, but we're going to have to agree to disagree. :p

It really depends on what we're ranking. If we're ranking on penis size or something, then it's no contest. If we're talking about knowledge about general components and such, CanadaRAM has "most knowledgeable" in the bag. There are guys out there who can talk about bits, the coding of OS X, and other things that bore me to death, and even if I have no idea whether what they're saying makes sense, at least they give me the impression that they're knowledgeable.

How horrible! Slapping poor, defenseless babies....shame on you Mad Jew. ;) :D :)

There are plenty of unsung heroes out there who aren't as visible as some others — doesn't make them less knowledgeable.

I particularly admire those who will spend some time with the OP to work through a set of solutions until the problem is resolved, or at least explained, rather than giving a set of reflexive and prescriptive answers.

And then you have specialists as well who may provide invaluable help in their own field such as robbieduncan...

Seconded, I've had excellent advice and help from him and HexMonkey in the past.

My God that made me laugh.
I can just picture it now.

An unassuming individual standing in the produce isle
A decorous perambulator containing one defenseless fledgling infant
An unsuspecting mother hunched over the rutabagas
A quick survey to the right, then a rapid slanted eye look to the left
Slight twisting of the upper torso
A brief pause for theatrical delight, and
SMACK

WHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Doopdy, doopdy, doo

One crazy jew sleeking away sporting a slight, mischievous grin

I agree, heck BV has helped me a lot from behind the scenes of MR and i am very grateful to BV for that help.

There can't really be one most helpful person on this site, because everyone helps in some way.

Dammit Chundles! I told you not to tell them 'bout my baby slapping habit. Anyway, it doesn't compete with that elderly-person leg humping thing you had a while ago. That was just gross.
