On, when I'm not going to be annoying anyone else. I just seem to type quicker with the feedback it gives.

i actually like the sound of the keyboard clicking, but i decided to turn the sound off anyway.

i figured that removing the clicking sound kept what i was doing on my phone more "private" when around others. they would never know what i was doing since they couldn't hear the clicking sounds.

+1

I like the sound and find it helpful, but I silence it when I'm going to be typing more than a word or two near someone else.

LOL looks this poll isn't going to help you decide. Split right down the middle!

same here

Off... so I can text like a Ninja ;)

I don't need another thing to toggle on/off going from home to work.

Hm, I just flick the silent switch when I need to 'private it up'.

I'm amazed you're able to function in life if you can't make up your mind about something as trivial as this.

I think when I got my phone, turning the clicking sounds OFF was one of the first things I tried to do. As soon as I heard the clicks, I knew they must go. I find them VERY annoying.

Same here. They help me confirm the button clicks when I can hear them. If I want them quiet, flicking the silent switch is faster than going into the settings to toggle them. Still, I wish I could make them quieter. Sometimes, I hold my phone such that my pinkie finger covers the speaker to make it quieter.

Off for me. I've been using the iPhone/iPhone 3G keyboard for over a year now I don't really need to hear feedback to be able to type anymore. I also long ago turned off the double space for "." option.

Even though it's good when it's on.. it just makes the iPhone sound and look **** when the sound lags behind when i actually type the letter sometimes.

Why? I love this feature and makes typing sentences so much faster!

Because it replaces the "?" at the end of sentences with a "."

But Apple made it an option and I'm cool with that. I just turn it off and be done with it. Now if only I had the option to text/email in landscape mode. *sigh*

Mine doesn't do that ....

if I put a '?', I can space as much as I want and it won't be replaced.

Yea mine too. It never replaces any punctuation for me either!

Your right it has since been changed. Wonder when Apple did that? I've had it off for so long now I never thought to see if they changed it in an update.

I think the last time I had the double space for a "." on was July of last year. :)
