I have Virtual PC 5, and I'm having some trouble with a drive image. The image was a dynamically expanding FAT16 (Win95) drive, created (I think) with VPC 4. At one point, it had nearly a gigabyte of stuff on it, but in order to get back some (Mac) HD space, I deleted some stuff of the drive image, reducing it to about 300 MB. The only problem is that it didn't work. Windows shows the drive as having 300 MB free, but the Finder says the drive image is 936 MB! Is there any way to get rid of those 600 MB? Thanks.

As far as I know, you can't :(

The dynamic drive can increased the drive size, but not decrease it I think. You should also check out Connectix's site www.connectix.com and see if they have any info on dynamic drive images. Check out their forums as well...they can be helpful, and the software developers frequent them as well.

Have you tried opening up Virtual PC + then going to Virtual Disk Assistant (in the windows menu - osx anyway), then going to convert to a fixed size? From there you can select what size you want it. I have done this in the past + it has worked.
