Hi folks, Two questions for you: 1) I realize this may be a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyways: is my PowerPC G5 susceptible to Windows viruses if I'm running Virtual PC 7? 2) I've got an Xbox 360 and I'd like to stream pictures, movies, and music to it from my Mac (the same way you can via a Media Centre PC or Media Player 11 Beta 2). Aside from installing VPC7 and running Media Player 11 B2 on it, is there any other way that I can do this? Thanks so much .
I don't know about the XBox part but as with any installation of Windows, it is susceptible to Windows viruses. The good news is that those viruses cannot affect OSX but you should probably till use Windows in VPC with a virus scanner (installed in Windows, not in OSX). Alternatively, you could just not use VPC whilst connected to the internet.
It'll only affect the Windows install in VirtualPC, if at all. My favorite antivirus software is nod32, little known, and one of the best consistent scanners out there, if you need a suggestion.
