vpn acting different w/ latest osx update

Before THE latest update, I could put company vpn on and browse vpn stuff + my own network and what not.

Windows cannot do that and I thought wow it's great. Another great benefit of having osx. It must handle request differently than windows.

Now, after the latest osx update(to supposedly fix the flickering which STILL continues to happen), this function stopped working.

Ummm.. apple? what's up?

I wish I could help but I can tell you that I have a number of VPNs that I connect to and none of them were affected by the last update.

vpn works great on my mbp (and, it works great on my windows netbook).

Just want to clarify that vpn works fine on my mbp as well. It's just that I used to be able to access my own lan which is not on vpn.

Can someone say get vpn up and also remote desktop using your private ip to get in?(not talking about using external ip to come back to your router and ip being forwarded to your pc to access).
