It also has a little window open while the session is ongoing.
She would be clicking that thing for sure.
And seeing my mouse run around the outskirts of the screen when I am letting her do things for me to watch, helping her relearn her basics, is distracting.
Little things to most people, but not with what I am dealing with here.
Thanks so much though for hanging in there with me.

You may just need to explain what's happening for your mother in simpler terms. VNC is great, and getting it working isn't generally too hard, but Teamviewer is one of those apps that makes it so simple.

If you have a VNC server installed onthe pc and it still won't connect, then uninstall the server completely, re-install it and see if that fixes the issue. Make sure that a windows update didsn't mess up the software server.

also, run a virus check in safe mode if possible, and at boot up if possible, and make sure your VNC server wasn't corrupted somehow.

Beyond that try TightVNC, UltraVNC, or FreeVNC if you aren't running one of those and see if you can run the server from them successfully.

Very good suggestions. thank you!
Now that I think about it, that might be what fixed this problem in the past. I was bound to uninstall the VNC program and reinstall it at some time.
I will try that again this week when I am over there.
Thanks!
