I have a small issue that I'm trying to figure out.

I jailbroke my 4s using greenpoison's JB. Problem is I'm having an issue connecting to my home vpn over sprint network. I had it test on other devices on sprint and both of them connect fine but my iphone is refusing to connect and my firewall doesn't even log the attempt.

Anybody having issues connecting to vpn networks after jailbreak? I even tried doing Network reset in settings but it didn't help

    Thanks

    Alex

Does anyone know where the logs for vpn connection reside on the iphone?

    Found it: /root/var/log/ppp.log

Here is what the logs say:

PPTP connecting to server 'xx.xx.xx.xx' (xx.xx.xx.xx)...
    Thu Jan 26 12:42:36 2012 : PPTP connection established.
    Thu Jan 26 12:42:36 2012 : Using interface ppp0

    Thu Jan 26 12:42:59 2012 : PPTP disconnecting...

I blacked out my external ip but my knowledge of VPN is not that good.
Here are logs from my firewall:

Just to ask did this work fine prior to JB? I use a home VPN also and it still works perfectly?

    Good question :)

didn't try it without jailbreak. I did however use it without issues on my ipad2 which was jailbroken on 4.3.3 but I haven't used it in few months.

I asked few of my friends to try it and nobody has issues connecting to it so at this time I'm suspecting its sprint issue in my area but I will test it out today when I'll connect from another wifi connection and see if it works that way

What setting are you using "L2TP", "PPTP", or "IPSec"?

I'm Guess "PPTP" if so have you tried disabling encryption to see if it works?

My VPN works fine on my jailbroken iPhone 4s but i use "IPSec"

Yep PPTP. My firewall doesn't support IPSec. I tried disabling encryption and get same error. I have a feeling that its sprint's fault. I tried using WIFI connection and was able to connect to my vpn without issues
