VPN issues with Safari, but not Chrome

I'm currently testing a VPN client on Yosemite. It seems like Safari will not connect to anything when the connection is turned on. Alternatively, Chrome seems to be able to connect just fine with the secured connection.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I believe both work in Mavericks just fine.

I'm using Viscosity on Yosemite Public Beta and it works just fine for me, I'm using safari.

I have the same problem, using Cisco Anyconnect. All fine on Chrome, random problems (server not found) on Safari... :-/
