I'd like to set up a home network using my Airport with a publicly-accessible VPN tunnel. I would like to be able to access an encrypted tunnel to my home network, and from there use my home network connection. This would allow me to access sensitive information (email, banking) from untrusted wireless networks with a little less worry. The Airport supports IPSec packet encryption, so can it do what I would like? I'm new to VPNs in general

I'd also like to be able to access Airdisk remotely, likely using the same encrypted connection. Thank you!

Do correct me if i am wrong but the AAPE itself is not able to do VPN. It supports connection from VPN (VPN pass through) but you will need a third party solution like a VPN router or some sorts to VPN into your home network instead.

In my case, my setup is the ISP modem > Cisco VPN Router > AAPE.

If you'd like a web base method with security, LogMeIn does the job as well via your web browser, SSL secured.
