I upgraded my device online and I ordered the wrong iPhone 11, so now I have to return it. Anyone know how the process goes to return and re-order the right device?

I'd contact Verizon see what they say. Used to be they will exchange as long as it hasn't been opened, not sure if that's changed

Just start a chat with them. You can either do it in store if they have what you want in stock or by mail. $50 restocking fee either way.

My understanding is that if it is not opened they will not charge you. I am in the same boat and have been using an 11 Pro Max from Apple to see if I like it.

Ultimately I think I will stick with the pro because of the one handed convenience factor - but I did check with VZW and confirmed no restocking fee if unopened.
