Is it supposed to turn on always when i'm on Wifi, or only when my signal is weak? At my house it would automatically go on every time i connected to my home network. Now since i'm on vacation, I do have 5 bars here most of the time, but i'm just wondering is this why it won't turn on automatically?

Verizon wifi calling does not always turn on and stay on when connected to wifi.
It depends on carrier signal strength.
You can see it go from wifi calling back to carrier network while still connected to your wifi.
One way to always keep it connected is put it on airplane mode and turn wifi on.

Yes for Verizon and AT&T it depends on signal strength.
T-Mobile and Sprint it stays connected as soon as you're on wifi and doesn't matter if you have good or bad carrier signal.
I kinda like better the 2nd method that T-Mobile is doing it.
