W2 and W2c question

So my employer had errored in my earnings on my original W2.

I was issued a W2c that reflected the change but box 2 was blank. Does the W2c only reflect changes that are made and anything NOT changed is correctly reported in the original W2?

Seems like only corrections to the W-2 need to be completed. So I'm assuming only what needs to be corrected is filled out.

Ok, so just use the original W2 numbers for the blanks on the W2c?

Yep. I got the same thing a few years ago. The w2c only had the info that needed correction.

If you trust eHow then the 3rd step says this:

Transcribe all previously reported information from the specific Form W-2 that you are correcting into the "Previously reported" columns on the left in each data entry area.
