Wacom Cintiq 21UX - alternative?

Is there an alternative to the Wacom Cintiq 21UX?

2k is a little steep for me and I feel the 21” slab would not be comfortable to have on my lap for longer periods, as I’d like to use it away from a desk.
 
Wacom 12WX cheaper, more comfortable on the lap. Lower resolution screen.



I'm struggling with the idea of which to buy also at the moment. 😱
