which one is best to buy bamboo or intuos ?

Well, i have read lots of review, that says bamboo is better than intuos4 instead of spends extra money to it. As the same side many says that intuos4 is best ever. Am really very confused, my point is i don't wanna spend money for extreme quality. Am just a beginner and i have never used pen tablet yet. Am 3D student, mostly i work with drawings and paintings so which tablet will suit me exactly and if i go with intuos4 small size does it work comfort with 20 inch monitor which i had.

Is there any difference on brush strokes between bamboo fun and intuos4...

please help!

Hello,
I recently upgraded to a Wacom bamboo Fun , after having an old Wacom bamboo the gray one ... i like the new surface of the wacoms they offer resistance which is handy in photoshop.

So as a Bamboo fun user i would suggest the bamboo pad about £75 for mine just before christmas

Walcom is the standard for professionals.

Simple, and well said. I went with the Intous4 because its what the majority of professionals use. Packs a LOT of features into a very sleek design. I am just starting to learn how to use it to the fullest but I am loving it so far!

Yes there are more levels of sensitivity on the Intous4. Here is the thing... would you rather spend about $80 now for the Bamboo and then when you like it and want something more spend another $350 on the Intous4 medium? Or spend $350 and get the right choice first? IMO its a no brainer, why spend $430 when you only need to spend $350?

I have been wanting to get the bamboo fun for a while now, but I just can't decide between the small or medium, how big is the difference, and I don't mean size wise, but which one feels more comfortable, which one would your recommend?

Another person contemplating an intuos...

Thinking about the wireless one - but seem to be pretty much the same price as the wired on Amazon, have heard bad things about the Bluetooth in it. As they're practically the same price. I'm tempted as presumably I can run it wired if the BT turns out to be rubbish.

Also heard very bad things about nibs wearing out...

Anyone got any thoughts / experience?

Thanks.

Intuos seems really small and the bamboo on the other hand is bigger. I have an Intuos3 because I like to draw/paint with Corel Painter and PS as well, and yes, the Intuos line is a nicer tablet than the Bamboo.

I have had the Intuos 4 and Intuos 4 wireless which were both great tablets. How ever as i only used them for retouching i never used them to their full potential. As i now have a 27" iMac and looking to get back into retouching and digital art.

I am thinking about going for the Bamboo Pen its £39.99 on Amazon, so really its not a bother. Beats buying the Intuos for over £250. My dad has a friend who is a top professional photographer and he uses the Bamboo for retouching. If its good enough for him, then its good enough for me :)

Bamboo Pen and Touch comes with a copy of Photoshop Elements 8. Staples currently has it on sale for $80. Buy it, then sell the copy of Photoshop Elements on ebay for $40. Bamboo fun and touch for $40. And that's cheaper than a Magic Trackpad.

I am still using an older Wacom tablet.

I ordered the Bamboo, and sent it back to Amazon the same day.

The pen of the bamboo is a piece of junk. Don't buy it! Moving the pen on the tablet produces a screeching noise like fingernails on a blackboard.

I went back to my old, comfortable Wacom Graphire, and whenever I have to upgrade it'll be an Intouos.

Currently using both...

So I'm currently using both versions, an Intuos4 wirless one on my work iMac, the bamboo on my iMac at home. I'm using it for sketchup work, so tilt and pen sensitivity are not considerations for me. I have used a graphire for many years way back and just recently started using a tablet again. Come to find out that I'm still pretty fast on it :) Here is my opinion from using both tablets for a couple of weeks now - keep in mind that this is an assessment based on using the tablet as a mouse replacement, not addition:

Intuos: Better quality, function keys, radial menu - considerable lag when programming radial menu and function keys to different applications, so I'm not using them - I'm much faster with custom keyboard maps. Scroll wheel is OK but requires the use of both hands for basic navigation.

Bamboo: works great for my application, there's a slight quality difference, but not enough to justify the cost difference of the Intuos. Tablet also works for Mac touch gestures which is a HUGE benefit if you're used to it (either from laptop or iPad) and makes basic navigation much easier. Wired version is much more reliable than wireless.

So, I will probably end up sending the Intuos back. The wireless would be nice if it worked correctly - and it does as long as you don't custom program function keys.

Bamboo Create vs Intous

I will be sketching jewelry designs. Which has a better application in my line of work?

I'd suggest the Bamboo, unless you need a higher bit of pressure sensitivity and button customization.

I loved my Intuos, but I've recently upgraded to a Cintiq 24HD, my Intuos has been relegated to being a portable tablet to take when I'm at conventions and whatnot.

It partially depends on the size of your display. The tablet maps to it, so you have to be comfortable with the ratio. I like the large tablets or cintiqs. It's much easier to draw in a fluid manner when you're looking at something comparable to a 1:1 ratio.

I bought the Intuos4 Small a few months ago and it took a week for me of using it constantly to get used to the pen but I stopped using my mouse. I have decided that I would perfer having a larger work area so I ordered the medium wireless model and it should arrive today. I am debating if I am going ot seel the small or keep it for when I travel.

wacom intuos4 or wacom bamboo

I'm in difficult situation because I don't know should I buy wacom intuos4 or wacom bamboo. I am 16 year old and I have decided to start doing game apps to phones and games in computers. That's why I have decided to buy a graphic tablet.

So please people, help me to decide which graphic tablet I should buy. In my country, Finland, Wacom Intuos4 medium cost 380 euros and Wacom Bamboo touch & fun Medium cost 210 euros.

E: Please someone answer!

I am still not sure which I should get either...

I either want to get a Large/Medium Bamboo or a Medium Intuos5. Thing is, I'm planning on drawing-drawing, not editing a photo or little doodles, but not doing very large oil-on-canvas-like paintings.

I am mostly worried about the size issue. Will a medium Intuos be too small for doing drawings that would fit on 9x15" sized paper? My digital art will be mostly be drawn on the programs SAI and Photoshop.

I really want to get the Intuos because of its extra features and especially because of its high pressure sensitivity. But I cannot afford a large Intuos, so if Medium is not an option, I'll go with Bamboo.

But what do you think?
