I wasn't sure whether to put this in hardware or design...

I'm rapidly running out of desk space and was wondering if anyone out there had come up with a neat way to stash a small Wacom tablet out of the way. I use my mouse for 80% of the time, so I don't need the tablet in a work position constantly.

It's only a little 7" one, does anyone have any crafty storage hints? I could do with some kind of sleeve or cradle that I could stick or clamp/mount onto the side of my iMac, so I can just slide it in vertically. Or even clamp it to the side of my printer... or desk...

I've looked on Amazon & eBay but found nothing suitable.

Cheers.

Unplug it and stand it vertically against the back of your iMac.

Yeah, plenty of places like that I can stand or wedge it, just hoped someone might have an idea they've used themselves, like something not designed specifically for a wacom tablet, but the right size.... to keep it out of the way and stop it getting knocked around...

I've seen photos of carriages for laptops that raise them above the surface of the desk. Something like that might be adaptable in some way for a Wacom. But really, I can't think of anything more efficient (or as inexpensive) as Pakaku's suggestion.

I'm considering a retractable arm for my Cintiq, but I think that would be overkill for a 7" tablet.

I think I might have found a solution. I was ideally looking for something with a small fixed mounting point so I could stick it to the edge of my monitor, but these should do the job perfectly. It comes as two parts, which you position how you like according to the size of your tablet (designed for ereader style tablet). I'll just slap these on the side of my desk, run the cable around the back of my iMac, and my Wacom tablet can sit neatly out of the way for most of the time.

Thanks for your help guys. If anyone wants some of these, they're on ebay, and I can provide a link...
