Same for me. I'm afraid that an Ultra-thin 15" MBP will not be a real Pro so I'm just counting the days to get my X-mas gift and replace my Late 2006 15" with the Late 2011 one! :):):)

If I am wrong and the 2012 model is a real PRO and I really like it, I will likely sell the 2011 and pay the difference so I can upgrade :cool:

i didn't wait, got a late '11 15" mbp a couple weeks ago, because for me, especially at this point in the game, the real action is in the software, not the hardware... there will always be a twinge of buyer's remorse when something new and awesome comes along, but as far as i can tell life seems to go on.

I'm pretty impervious to buyers remorse. With the late 2011 CPU update of the MBPs, i felt zero remorse even though I bought my MBP in July. I push my MBP pretty hard sometimes, but the 2.0 with 8 GB of RAM cruises through most of the stuff I ask it to do. The processors available today, or even the Ivy Bridges aren't going to change that greatly. The real step up is to the Mac Pro, or several years down the line in the MBP.

This sounds like a perfect question for another poll ;)

I think they won't do it in 2012. I expect a new 15'' Air, along with upgraded MBPs (not sure if they get a redesign). But I also wouldn't be surprised if I'm completely off with my guess.
 
macrumors has a story on its front page that the 15 ultra thin will be an extension of the macbook air. what does this mean for the pro? could it keep its current design? Will there continue to be 13, 15, and 17 pros?
 
They could bump the pro's to 14/16/18 :D

Or maybe just 14/16. This would give the 14 enough room for a dedicated graphics, and probably full HD screens in both machines.
