I know he specifically said Series 3, but I'm wondering if older models will work too.

If it does, I personally won't want to upgrade to series 3.
With the mentioned performance increases (+70%) and efficiency increases (50%) I'd still want. UI looked faster in the presentation, too. Also, having Siri talking is something I definitely wanted for some time now.

Oh yea I think its an excellent upgrade....its just with all the other things I'm going to have to buy from Apple this year, my wallet's gonna need a break lol.

I'm also curious because if AirPower is Qi Standard, that means the Watch should now charge in the same spots that work for the iPhone 8 or X

In the keynote, i believe they specified that it has to be a Series 3 to work on the power mat

Edit: It's at 1:47 of the keynote. he doesn't say that it must be a Series 3 but he does say "You can place your Series 3 watch on it..."

I wouldn't be surprised if this is exclusive to series 3, but it's not clear to me from how he stated it in the keynote.

You nailed it.

AirPods for me
LTE Watch-Stainless steel as its the bestest
About 94 new bands released as well
Iphone X if that is even a possibility before the new year as pre-orders are going to be a riot

Cha-ching!
