well, the boombox and mini were spot on...thought there might be a movie store but it's about what i figured. was hoping for an updated ipod, but guess that's coming at the 30th anniv. announcements.

Worst Rumor Ever!

I thought it was going to be something really cool announced today. I am disappointed. No Mac Tivo / iPod video or Mac Tablet. Those are two products that would have made headlines here. I wish I wouldn't have believed the implied lies in this thread.

Dude, its not worth it. Look at it this way you save money :)

They are people who like to claim to be in the know, someone else will do it next time apple annoce something.

Well .. I want a MacTablet .. but if they did release it, I wouldn't buy it .. because I don't have any money to save.:(

I'm extremely disappointed in chasingapple... my reaction to today's announcements was very "meh". Intel-based Mac mini is nice (even though I just bought a PPC Mac mini LAST WEEK... I'm happy with it and don't see any need to try to switch to the newer one), but the iPod Hi-Fi is a very late addition to an already-crowded accessories market and the leather cases... well, let's just say that that's about the most boring announcement I've ever heard.

(I am sure that SteveJack and other Macolytes squealed with glee when they saw the leather cases. The rest of us were busy stifling yawns.)

lol...come on did anyone actually believe the OP? A random non tradeshow announcement with April 1st just around the corner and WWDC? Gimmie a break, I was one of the few cynics on this thread it would seem.
 
I think it is safe to say that any future posts by chasingapple regarding upcoming products or rumors can be dismissed and be a short thread. Pretty disappointing day. $100 for an iPod case.....seriously. Rasing the price on the Mac Mini's......not good. They need to stick with at least one model that is sub-$500.
I do like the iPod Hi-Fi though:)

He must be pissed right now. The odds where on his side. A pda or something was expected instead Apple didnt do anything REMOTELY fitting into chasingapples discription which was pretty wide open anyway :D

That is a good point. This was way under the bar for Apple. Even their stock got hit today because the media expected more. This ChasingApple dude could have appeared a major insider. Perhaps Steve Job's golf buddy. The odds were in his favor. Perhaps he does work for a tabloid and this was just a test for him. He laughed it off like it wasn't true. Excellent lie!
 
He was reading this topic a while back, chose not to reply.

I think i will get a case but not the Hi-Fi, too expensive
