Wait what? Lightning doesn't do analog audio out?

So if you have a iPod kit in your car which uses the 30 pin connector it's now useless? Please tell me it isn't. For my friends sake who bought a new car and had one fitted.

My car has the 3.5 jack in the dash so it's cool but come on, that really sucks if true.

2. No, it is analog video and iPod out--an obscure feature used mostly just in BMWs to export the full iPod classic style menu interface to a screen on the car. Not iPod control, not audio out. Something different.

But anyway, i'm liking the new connector that's why i'm rationalizing this this way. I really don't have a clue what i'm talking about
