Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

It's so funny, I ordered the iMac Quad the 8th of November and payed it.
Still no sign of shipment tho, I can still cancel my order...
Anyone else got delayed? 😛

In the past it has only taken 4 days door to door so why they have put your estimated delivery at 27/11....

.. and I have just got an email from applecare too saying my agreement started 11/11/09 too... naughty!!

I also just received my Apple Care notification. Mine started 14th November.
BTW. I ordered my i7 on 20th October.

Hopefully will arrive sooner rather than later, but still showing no change. Just my luck, I won't be at home when they deliver. 😡
 
Finally.. Had an email this morning "Order Shipped" and have my UPS Tracking number but that just says "Billing Information Received"

Says it should be delivered before 18th Novemeber 😀

Same deal with me regarding Applecare. iMac despatched 13 November, no tracking info but "Merge In Transit GB" (combine the rest of my order with iMac in the UK). Estimated delivery 26 November. Applecare commenced 14 November - guess when the iMac arrives I'll give them a call to shift the commencement date.

I ordered my i5 base on the 23rd! It still has not even prepared for shipment. Im thinking of canceling it, waste of bloody time!

W9136xxxx, UK order, anyone else got that order number or ordered on or before this date and not had their imac ship?

I dont really think it matters what your order number is... it is more which way the wind blows to whos order gets shipped and when it gets delivered. Mine was ordered a few minutes after the store went back online on the 20th, it shipped on the 11th and says delivery by 26th.... with no tracking details.
 
Mine just changed status from "prepared for shipping" to "shipped" about an hour or so ago. I ordered on Oct 30. I7 Quad 27" 8 GB. Order number W6554xxx

supposed to be delivered this friday the 19th. my remote that was ordered the same day was supposed to be delivered on this past friday but wasn't.

it just left shanghai shipping facility to who knows where...the excitement was gone over a week ago. now it just gets here when it gets here, my 24" imac is fine...probably should have bought a new macbook instead anyway...

I would give them a call and say something like what I did after I got the usual "they are all on back order and shipping in November"

this is what I said then "OK but I have 2 friends that both ordered after me on the 28th and 31st October and they now both have shipping and are getting theirs this week. I was informed that orders are processed based on when you order ( first come first served). So how come people ordering after me are getting theirs before me"

She then got the ball rolling for me. I received an email about 20 mins later to saying that I had made changes to my orders. Later on Saturday I got "Prepared for Shipment" and this morning is showing shipped..

Don't cancel your mac order. You will love it when it come. I was all ready to cancel on Saturday but glad I gave them a call.

When you call don't give them attitude, but be firm and try and get them to see your point that you ordered early so that you could be one of the first people to get the new iMac..

Ive been waiting from the 31st for my i5 - no details, lots of weird excuses from apple.
Yeah the excitment is wearing off and there is always the option to cancel and get something else.. looks like they are getting to the end of the october orders, with the exception of some people who manage to get their orders snuck in there also.

Hang in there another week i reakon, 6 months down the track we will have forgotton about how long the past few weeks have been...
 
Does anyone else has a delivery via Schenker Logistics (CZ)? My iMac was shipped on Nov. 14 and I have no possibility to track it. The tracking at the schenker website does not work for me – I used the tracking-number from the apple shipment notification.

The next destination seems to be Prague (Merge In Tnst CZ Pra) ... but I have no clue where my iMac is at the moment.

Does anyone know how to track it or how long it will take via Schenker? The destination is Germany.

You sure it's not different for an Apple Canada Gift Card? From the back of the gift card: "Apple Gift Cards can be applied toward purchases at Apple Retail Store locations in Canada only; they cannot be redeemed for cash, at the Apple Online Store or at Apple Authorized Resellers."

Not sure it matters much. Not going to wait two more weeks to have an i7. Would rather get the i5 today or tomorrow. It's getting bad with my current iMac. When the spinning ball starts, I can go take a micro nap before it'll be working again. 🙁
 
Anyone know if at the Apple Store, they'll let you swap the wireless keyboard that comes with it for a corded one with the numeric keypad? Would hate to have to spend an extra $60 to get the corded one when I won't use the wireless one (too small for me). Going to ask the manager if I can swap it right in store since the wireless one is worth more.

I've got a feeling you aren't able to do this as it's regarded as a BTO.

Why not sell the wireless one? Its almost double from the wired one. Then just go out and buy a wired one, plus, you'll have cash left over.


EDIT: no changes to my order this morning, still showing up as 'not yet shipped'. Ordered on the early hours of the 11th of Nov.
 
My order placed on Nov 9th, shipped this morning. With free standard shipping it is scheduled to be here on the 19th.

Not too shabby.
 
Been lurking around this thread for the past few days now.

I'm from Singapore, ordered it this Saturday (About Friday for those of you in the US) 14 Nov. Obviously it's still listed as not yet shipped, hoping it'll ship by next week. Where do the iMacs ship from? Shanghai?

"Out For Delivery" with UPS today:

iMac i7, 8GB RAM, Shipped to: Denmark, Ordered: 20th Oct., Shipped: 11th Nov.

Can't wait 🙂
