Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

I reakon that the hyundai that is going to supply the metal for my imac has now been traded in and is on its way to the recycling yard. From here it will get melted down and sent to china to be made into the iMac body for my Imac.

Its progress i suppose, long way to go though until it gets here and i can turn it on, there must be alot of orders placed after mine that need to get processed first so im just patiently waiting in the background, honing my sarcasm skills.
 
UPS is currently listing 1 of my packages (the 0.2kg one, presumably my AppleCare) as in transit, but the other (the 17kg one) NOT. The AppleCare is scheduled to arrive tomorrow (well, today now) but the iMac Thursday.

Seriously Apple? You spend a month not giving me any tracking information because you're 'merging' the AppleCare and iMac in shipping, only to have them split up again?! I hope that's not the case.

Just a little update (like anyone actually cares)

Ordered: 14 Nov
Status: Not Yet Shipped (duh)
Location: Singapore

DHL has been pretty fast for me when I ordered the Stainless Steel Shuffle. It delivered 2 days after collection from Shanghai (Good thing I live in Singapore, it's near to China, and it's a small country - delivery truck arrives faster).

Hopefully it's the case with the iMac. I shudder to think that after I shipped, it'll be a whole new journey.

Sigh... I ordered on Oct 21.

Still praying I'm going to see this thing before noon tomorrow. The longer it sits in Alaska the less optimistic I become.

If you ordered it today you will probably have it within a week... Its only if you preordered it that you have to wait over a month... 🙂

I ordered on the 6/11 but I count myself as waiting since the 21st, since the day it came out I transfered money to my credit card so that I could order it.
That took 5 days to go through, then the bank saw I was trying to put a large sale on my card and immediately blocked the sale AND put a hold on my card for 10 days which try as i might i could not release.
So the 6th was the first oppertunity I had to order, and so i consider myself one of the ones waiting since the 21st!
Of course apple doesn't know that yet, so
still not yet shipped and ships november

If it's shipped via fedex, it goes through memphis first for sorting.
 
All right, all right! My baby is out of AK! It's landing in Memphis in just under 5 1/2 hours. I really think it'll be here tomorrow!

But now... it's time to sleep (If I can! I feel like kid waiting for Santa 😛)
 
Wow it seems there is hope for Canadians using UPS after all. I'm blown away how good they've been in delivering my imac and printer. And apple has been fantastic as well not that that's a surprise.

On Oct. 31, I ordered an i7 "stock" besides the wired keyboard. After some time waiting and following this thread (from the beginning) I called to check if there had been any updates as to when they were shipping and said to the rep "I heard if I asked nicely you might upgrade my shipping". She did and I continued to wait. After a finding out about the printer deal I called back again and added a printer and again Apple was fantastic.

My order began to process late Friday night (Nov. 13) with Apple giving me an estimated delivery date of Nov. 20. This didn't surprise me as every other Canadian using UPS with "Express" shipping was taking much longer then the supposed 1-3 business days. Imagine my surprise when I called UPS and found out my order should be delivered today (Nov. 17) technically only two business days after it shipped! I was somewhat skeptical.

My wife was watching my tracking info and texted me to tell me that I had missed the shipment at 9:28 this morning. So I called UPS and explained that I had missed the shipment and I would like to pickup the order today. I girl I spoke told me that the driver may not be back until after 7pm when the store closed but she would put in a request to have someone call me if I was able to pick it up tonight. Otherwise the shipment would stay at UPS overnight and I could pick it up tomorrow. No problem I thought, what's one more day.

I get a call an hour or so later from a different girl and I'm told that the driver will most likely not be back before 7pm because they are on an extended route (I live just outside of Edmonton) but she'll call the driver just to confirm so I know for sure. She calls me back shortly after and confirms that I won't be able to get the package today 🙁 but I can still get it tomorrow. So I ask her if there's any chance that the driver could make a second stop at my house after 4pm when I'm home from work if he's in the area. She tells me that it won't be a problem and here I am with my new baby i7 😀

Now I only wish that every time someone (myself included) used UPS they had an experience this good.

my i5 should be on FedEx 86 to oakland, ca based on last scan departing anchorage at 4:53 p.m. Flight 86 took off at 4:56p.m. Getting closer.
 
My imac i7 stock is now "prepared for shipment"
