It's been a long time since I lived back home in the states. Do UPS/FedEx ship on Thanksgiving? You'll be up against that this week if yours actually gets shipped.

No shipping on Thanksgiving. I'm still stuck at zero so doubtful it ships Monday or Tuesday if it did ship monday i might get it friday other wise i think i get it the following week. So as Apple says novemember isn't over till the 30th so if they ship it before that day there still good lol. I still can't believe there treating people like this!

Perhaps those with a delay are lucky. Could mean Apple has delayed things to solve some of the problems afflicting the first batch of machines...like with the abominable noise my (Seagate) drive makes in my i5.
I can assure you, if waiting an extra week or two saves you the trouble of returning a useless, chugging piece of rubbish like I have, then it will be worthwhile.
I hope your delays are for the best reasons and result in a better iMac for you.

Now I'm really confused...doesn't "departure scan" mean that it has um departed? how can it leave shanghai twice?

so it has taken 6 days for my iMac to actually leave Shanghai?

Looks like our Macs are side-by-side in the shipping container, sharing dirty jokes and gossiping about the clearing agents. ("Did you see the rack on that one? 23 inches wide, or I'm a calculator. Two fan modules too!")

:p) is that Apple decided to put all new orders on hold until December, to get rid of their backlog of orders supposed to ship in November.

That would be a sensible thing to do but it isn't happening as people are still ordering and getting shipping notices pretty quickly.

Im still on "Not Yet shipped" after 23 days of having ordered...

I hope the posts after this are true and we get some really nice fast machines that dont have any problems. Id be more annoyed if after this waiting it is DOA or has bad pixels etc..

My i7 is 10 minutes away from me just sitting, its scheduled for tuesday but fedex may bring it monday I assume. I ordered 11/13 and it shipped 6 days later.

I ordered my i7 on 20th October. Finally gave in and rang Apple yesterday to find out when it might arrive. I was told 27th November, or thereabouts.

OK guys. It is getting better... they seem to catch up with demand!

I ordered a new iMac on November 18th,... BTO with Core i5, 2TB HDD and a USB keyboard. Today (22th, 3 1/2 days later) the status changed to "prepared for shipment" !!!

Yeeehhaaaa :D :D :D

Congratulations! What was your estimated shipping date when you ordered? :)

Ordered: 14 Nov Evening
PFS: 22 Nov Morning
Shipped: 22 Nov Night

Hopefully the one i'll get will be problem free (*fingers crossed*)

Sorry to rub it in for those October orders, hopefully you guys get shipped soon!

Mines arrived on Thursday (core i5) and its a beast.

Delivery to the UK was SUPER quick, shipped on Wednesday and received on Thursday. I guess it was coming from their European distribution centre... I ain't complaining one bit :D

No, not complaining. But you are boasting. :p

Glad you are enjoying it. One day, I'll have my i7.... maybe. By then maybe the Stockholm Syndrome will have set in and I'll really miss that "Not Yet Shipped" I see about 500 times a day.

Depens on the carrier. In my case it was tnt.no. And my i7 was stuck at NL distr. center for days >.<

Ordered 10th Picking it up tomorrow...

I ordered my iMac i7 with 2x4GB Ram, 2.8Ghz and the 2TB HD on the 10th of November. It was shipped to Anchorage, AK then to Memphis, TN and then to Portland.

Called Fedex yesterday to see if I could pick it up, but they said it was at the Airport Cargo Center and wouldn't be at the final destination center until today (Sunday). Of course they are closed on Sundays so I will be driving there first thing tomorrow and picking it up since it won't be delivered until Tuesday. Now that makes no sense ha ha.

Over all 13 Days turnaround including shipping. Nice.

Cheers

could you track it rigth away or did you have to wait. did you get a link to the carrier, or are you suppose to find that out your self?

Long road to Tipperary ...

I guess my hopes that it might turn up on Monday are dashed, as of a few minutes ago the last entry on my tracking is still

21 Nov 2009 09:51:50 Pudong International Airport Shipment In Transit.

Which is surprising, which way is it flying around the world to Germany? Via the US first? Thats what 42 hours in the air.
