Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

Just to follow up - the day after it said "Prepared for Shipment" it actually shipped. I started in Shanghai that day and ended up in Memphis, but has jus been chillin' ever since. Hopefully this means i will get it Tuesday!!! Can't wait.

Because that is the central hub of the midwest, and that hub services half the country. It's the same path my last iMac took. Depending on where you live in the country, yours may come out of a different hub, but regardless FedEx moves quick once in the main 48 states.
 
I'm wondering how likely it would be for FedEx to deliver earlier than the estimated date? Between Jan 30 and Jan 31 my shipment has travelled from Shanghai CN to Anchorage, AK and has already departed from Oakland, CA. I'm in Portland, OR and my estimated delivery date is Feb 3. I have a difficult time believing that it would take 3 days to travel from Oakland, CA to Portland, OR (I've driven there in just over 8 hours before).

Maybe Santa will come to my doorstep a couple of days early this year 😱
 
Mine too: "Jan 31, 2010 4:53 AM Departed FedEx location OAKLAND, CA" - I'm in LA... starting to think I may see it here Monday 😀!

This is awesome. Now if only it won't have flickering or yellow fever or any other annoyances... fingers crossed, rain dance and sacrificing animals to follow.
 
I'm in the UK, original ship date was meant to be Monday 1st Feb but it sent on Saturday (30th) instead. Still no sign of a tracking number though - only if I look through the US store but that won't work on the UPS website...

Anyone else from UK got a number yet?

Edit: Also it says it will be delivered 11th/12th February depending on what time zone you set it as... surely it can't take that long :O

I had the exact same dates. Was meant to ship on the first, but infact shipped on the 30th. I got a tracking number right away though, and it says ill get the imac tomorrow. Tho according to my tracking number its either still in shanghai or in the air from there. So i wont be holding my breath for delivery tomorrow quite yet.

im in the uk btw

It looks like our iMacs shipped at the same time and are both going to LA. So why does you shipment seem to be going faster? I paid for the expedited too. Mine is in Memphis.

Yeah I'm trying really hard to not get my hopes up, but it's difficult not to after being without the 27" for so long.

Hmm, where did your tracking number appear?
My one from t he US store is WW00000XXXXXXXXXXXXX

'My Carrier Tracking Number' has been saying it will be updated shortly since then...

its under "Carrier Tracking Number" for me on the shipment status page, the number is like this 1Z4WYxxxxxxxxxxxxx

In the past its only taken a couple of days to ship macs from china to the uk for me so you should get it sooner than apple say

I don't know, but I didn't pay for expedited. But re: Memphis, like I quoted above, there seems to be a weather problem, that might be causing delays according to FedEx.

And boombashi, it looks like you may have called it 🙂
 
Ordered a 27" i7 on the 27th January, shipping date 17th February although from the posts before this, hopefully it'll ship sooner. I'm like a child waiting for christmas.

Mine was due to ship 2nd feb, but shipped 30th jan. Initially due to arrive 4th feb but now it says 12th feb, no tracking number for me either, hoping it will come next week, uk too.

I ordered mine the same day and it says that it will ship on Feb 18th. What time did you place your order and from where. Please also let me know what week is yours when they post your invoice. Thanks!!!!

To others please post your iMac pics or unboxing video links asap tomorrow or Tuesday. I can't wait for mine that is without screen issues. Congrats to everyone who are getting theirs tomorrow. Good Luck!

If you guys post problems about your imacs tomorrow, I am cancelling my order

weird why your not getting tracking numbers! Not that my number is much good, still says Shanghai.
 
Heh, if there's one thing I've learned about shipment tracking in the UK, it's that it generally only states 'Original Destination' or 'Delivered'...

Looks like mine will be here tomorrow (ordered January 4th)... sadly it's a week 3 machine so I'm not optimistic about the condition in which it will arrive 🙁

Week 3, 4, 5 or 6 makes no difference - they have not as yet implemented a fix. That'll happen in approximately 3 weeks, according to a recently unearthed memo. So relax - your week 3 has as much chance to be good/bad as any other week. If you want, you can wait another 3 weeks and see if Apple really has fixed the issues, or if it's another lamo that doesn't work (like the first anti-flicker firmware update they did, that didn't work for a ton of people).

Mine is a week 5, and I'm fully prepared to have issues. It's a gamble. We'll see.
